The County Highway Department maintains Hamilton County’s roads and bridges, and issues permits for oversized loads, overweight loads, and utility work in the county right-of-way. Permit forms and county road maps are below.
The Highway Department is located at 910 East Randolph Street in McLeansboro — not at the courthouse. All documents can be submitted via mail or in person during normal business hours.
